The Technology
Most consumer skin-check tools are a single model returning a confident-sounding guess. DermaLens AI is a three-stage pipeline designed around the opposite instinct: validate the input, weigh two independent opinions, and hand off to a human when certainty runs out.
Stage 1
A vision model checks the photo is genuinely a skin image before any diagnosis runs — filtering out irrelevant or unusable uploads at the door.
Stage 2
Two independently trained classifiers score the image across ~35 dermatological conditions. Low-confidence results are returned as "uncertain," not forced into a guess.
Stage 3
Flagged or uncertain cases are pushed straight to a licensed doctor's queue in real time — closing the loop from AI to clinician inside one product.
